A few months ago, I started speaking out about politics — corruption, power, the erosion of democracy. I wanted to raise awareness, connect the dots, and remind people to pay attention.
But I have started to feel too heavy.
Because the truth is, when you spend all your time staring at what’s being broken, it’s easy to forget what’s still worth building.
I want to support the design of what comes after the outrage.
Outside of Grunge Luxe, I’m a business advisor and leadership coach. My work is all about people — guiding business owners and teams toward healthier operations and stronger, more empathetic leadership.
And what I’ve learned over the years is that the same problems that tear workplaces apart — fear-based leadership, disconnection, ego, burnout — are the same problems tearing our society apart.
We’re living in a time where survival often overshadows creation. But rebellion isn’t just about tearing down systems that harm us. It’s about building new ones that serve us better.
That’s where I’m shifting my focus to: from the current state of deconstruction, to redesign. Because that is my expertise and where I can contribute most meaningfully.
I’ve always believed that leadership isn’t about authority — it’s about responsibility.
It’s about how we show up for people, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Empathy doesn’t necessarily mean softness.
It means seeing clearly — understanding how power moves, how people operate, and choosing to lead differently anyway.
That’s rebellion.
That’s impact.
I grew up in a deeply religious home where certainty was survival. I was taught that safety came from obedience — that there was a “right” way to think, vote, love, and lead.
But life had other plans for me.
Through my personal chaos — the trauma, the rebuilding, and the love — I found my true identity and authentic voice.
And I learned that compassion doesn’t weaken conviction. It clarifies it.
That’s the energy I want to bring into things — I want to stay rooted in empathy and strategy, even when things pissed me off, and the part of a rebellion that support the growth, not back peddling.
Because the revolution isn’t destruction.
It’s creation.
